IUFRO2014 Blog Competition
- Write a blog article that introduces your research or project and
how it relates to the overall Congress theme “Sustaining Forests,
Sustaining People – The Role of Research”. See the FAQ’s for what makes a
good blog post.
- Submit your blog posting with a maximum word count of 750 along with any photos to blog@iufro.org in a .doc or .docx file with the subject line “IUFRO2014 Blog Competition”.
- Ensure to include a caption and credit for any photos submitted.
- Entries must be received by 30th September 2014 (23:59hrs +12 GMT).
- To increase your chances of winning, post your story on Twitter with the hashtags #IUFRO2014 and #RoleOfResearch,
and encourage friends to comment, “like” and “share” your post on
Facebook, and retweet your post on Twitter. The more views, comments,
and votes your article receives the greater your chance of winning.
- The winner who has the most popular article submitted to the
#IUFRO2014 Blog Competition will receive a cash prize in the sum of USD
500.
- Two additional finalists will be selected according to the article
they submitted based on a popularity ranking with the most page views,
comments and highest votes. These persons will receive a copy of “Forests and Globalization: Challenges and Opportunities for Sustainable Development“.
